2nd International Conference on Indonesia Family Planning and Reproductive Health
The 2nd International Conference on Indonesia Family Planning and Reproductive Health (ICIFPRH) is a large forum involving international and national experts, policy makers, program managers, international and national NGOs, development partners, professional association, as well as practitioners to discuss various issues of family planning and reproductive health in Indonesia. The conference expected to be held every two years, carrying different themes.
The first ICIFPRH was successfully held in Yogyakarta from 30 September to 2 November 2019, joined by 796 speakers and participants from 18 countries, and at least 40,000 online participants from ICIFPRH’s YouTube channel. The conference focused on scientific activities and delivered several pre-conference workshops and training related to family planning and reproductive health issues. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the consortium has postponed the 2nd ICIFPRH to 2022. In the meantime, to maintain the engagement of the family planning and reproductive health community, an online scientific meeting was convened in June 2021. The 2022 conference will discuss concepts, policies, programs, and various lessons that have been carried out on the global, national and sub-national levels by various stakeholders, as well as their relevance in improving family planning and reproductive health program. In line with Indonesia’s commitment to achieving Three Zeroes.
The conference was initiated and organized by a consortium called "A Champion of Indonesia Family Planning and Reproductive Health" consisting of the Center for Reproductive Health, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia’s Demographic Institute, Faculty of Public Health of Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia Planned Parenthood Association, Women Health Foundation, Cipta Foundation, Rutgers WPF, UNFPA, Aliansi Satu Visi, and Thinkwell.
